Identify running stocks to day trade
Every day we we look for the most interesting stocks to trade. Our goal is to identify the stocks we expect to increase as much as possible during our day trade time window.
On the one hand we look pre-market for stocks that are gapping up. On the other hand we are constantly scanning for stocks that are breaking out.
Common stock market scanner software
You can scan the stock market using many different tools. You have specific scanning software and you have scanners in your trader workstation. Based on the criteria you enter in these scanners, you will receive alerts.

Because of the importance of scanning the market, we have built our own scanning tool. This way we can enter more then just the criteria available in the common available scanning tools.
We have made two scanners based on the strategy we apply.
Scanner based on criteria Andrew Aziz
In his book “How to Day Trade for a Living”, Dr. Andrew Aziz explains the importance of carefully selecting the stocks you day trade. Based on those criteria we developed a stock scanner exclusively alerting when stocks are meeting these requirements. You can find this stock alerting tool here.
