Evaluate your trades to become more profitable

When the market is about the close, you need to make sure all your day trade positions are covered. Don’t hold day trade stocks overnight. We day trade on volatile stocks and these stocks can move a lot after the regular market hours. Even if you become a bag holder, close those positions because I can guarantee you, it can become worse.

After you have closed your positions, take the time to look back at the trades you made today. Ask yourself these 3 relevant questions:

  1. Did I trade on a clear setup or strategy? Or was the trade rather impulsive?

  2. Did I enter with the right order type? Did I have a good fill?

  3. Was my exit justifiable? Did I follow my exit strategy?

It is strongly recommended to keep track of this in a journal. Although, the most important thing in the first place is to start evaluating yourself.

Have a critical view of your trades. You can learn from your wins. Moreover, you immediately profit from them.

But make sure you also look at your losing trades. In the long run, you’ll profit much more by learning from your losses.

Good luck with your evaluation
